This is the family explanation letter for learning sight words by phonics skill. The letter explains the phonics rule that applies to the group of words.
It includes high frequency words that are closed syllable and are mostly CVC Short U pattern like but, run and sun.
By learning the phonics pattern, students should be able to decode all words with that pattern including high frequency words.
